Brinn & Anita are back for 2022! With 10 Shitbox and Mystery Box rallies between us, in both rallier and support capacity, we decided on a bit of a break after 2019. Hopefully we'll be driving our shitbox from Wollongong to Mackay.
We rally for those affected by cancer - we raise funds for a cure, for hope, and as a way to honor the many friends, family and clients that we see all too often struggle with the reality of this disease.
We always like to try and best our previous years fundraising efforts, 2019 Brinn & Nick managed over $16,500, our goal for 2022 is $17,000, please help us raise some funds!
Shitbox Rally is the largest community lead fundraiser for the Cancer Council in Australia and is now in its 12th year. Part of the participation is that all teams have to raise a minimum of $5,000 but most teams raise well above this amount as you can see with the 2022 Autumn rally target set at $2,500,000.
These funds go to the Cancer Council and we are extremely proud to be doing our part to support such a worthy charity. The fundraising is the hard part, so any donation you can give is greatly appreciated. Please make sure to follow our progress via this page and the blog post below
Here's what I'm doing …
Shitbox Rally is the adventure of a lifetime challenging participants and their cars, worth no more than $1,500, on a 7 day drive across Australia to raise money for cancer research.
The rally is not a race – it’s a fun, colourful, unpredictable adventure with participants travelling at their own pace in smaller groups. Vehicles often break down but “we never leave anyone behind” and each night is spent camping beneath the stars and celebrating the day’s achievements. It all adds up to an incredible opportunity to see Australia’s vast and beautiful countryside and make lifelong friends, many brought together after experiencing cancer themselves or seeing cancer impact family and friends.
Since it’s inception the rally has been the largest fundraiser for the Cancer Council nationally.

<p>The rally is getting close! Only a week until we leave for Wollongong, hopefully this weather doesn't last too long and we can have a dry trip.</p><p></p><p>To follow more closely please check out our Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/jackitsbox</p><p></p><p>also - for anyone in the Central West, day 1 we'll be passing through on our way to Trundle and then day 2 from Trundle to the Glengarry Hilton.</p><p></p><p>Saturday the 7th of May we will pass head north from Goulburn to Crookwell, Cowra, Gooloogong, Forbes and out to Trundle, so if you're along that path, give us all a wave, there will be more than 200 Shitbox cars passing through. </p><p></p><p>Day 2 we head further north, through Tullamore, Nyngan and Walgett on our way to the Opal fields, then West on day 3 to via Brewarrina, Bourke and on to Tibooburra, then off to western QLD for the rest of our journey.</p><p></p><p>Thank you for supporting!</p>
